Gridwater Continues Operating Buildout as First New Truck Remains on Track for September Service

“A category doesn’t get built by equipment alone, you put the right people next to it before you need them. That’s the sequence, and we’re keeping to it.”

Company adds business development leadership to accelerate customer acquisition and strengthen its competitive presence in the Austin market

Gridwater is entering the stage where every new capability has to connect to the next one: equipment to customers, operations to markets and execution to growth.”

— James Woloszyn, Chief Operating Officer of Gridwate

SHERMAN, TX, UNITED STATES, August 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Gridwater, Inc. today reported continued progress on its 2026 operating plan. The company’s first new mobile water treatment truck remains on track to enter service in late September, the target Gridwater established previously, and the company has appointed Roy Williamson Vice President of Business Development to support customer acquisition and market development as that capacity comes online.

Keeping the September Commitment

The first new truck is central to Gridwater’s transition from capital formation and business development into active field operations. Production and commissioning work continues on schedule, following the equipment-financing and production milestones already reported.

Each truck functions as a mobile operating platform, bringing water and wastewater treatment capacity to the locations where customer needs arise.

Placing the first new unit into service gives Gridwater additional field capability and establishes the operating foundation for continued customer development and fleet expansion.

“Nobody has organized capital in this space in this way, so we’re building a category as we go,” said Ken Berenger, Executive Chairman of Gridwater. “You build a category the same way you build anything else. One piece at a time, on the date you said. We committed to September and the first new truck is on track for late September.”

Building the Commercial Capability Behind the Equipment

Rather than waiting for new capacity to arrive before expanding its commercial effort, Gridwater is building the customer-development function alongside the operating platform.

“Gridwater is entering the stage where every new capability has to connect to the next one: equipment to customers, operations to markets and execution to growth,” said James Woloszyn, Chief Operating Officer of Gridwater. “We were looking for more than a traditional sales executive. We needed a commercial operator with the industry knowledge, government-sales experience and market-building instincts to work alongside our operating team. Roy fits that job.”

Williamson brings experience across environmental services, heavy-equipment fleet operations, manufacturing, logistics, government contracting and national sales, including responsibility for heavy-duty vacuum trucks and other specialized industrial equipment across industrial, government and military markets.

He has held leadership positions in manufacturing operations and sales at Ambipar Group Holdings, and regional business development and government contracting at Vibrant Works—San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind. His background also includes RFP and RFQ development, government-contract compliance, multi-state logistics, environmental-response operations and the development of new sales channels and go-to-market programs.

His initial priorities include developing Gridwater’s commercial pipeline, pursuing new customer relationships, building strategic partnerships and expanding the company’s engagement in the Austin market.

“A category doesn’t get built by equipment alone,” Berenger added. “You put the right people next to it before you need them. That’s the sequence, and we’re keeping to it.”

A Continuing Pattern of Execution

The September service target and Williamson’s appointment are part of a broader sequence. Gridwater has been assembling the financing, equipment, personnel, market relationships and operating systems required to run a functioning water and wastewater services platform. Each completed step is intended to make the company more capable while preparing it to execute the next.
