MIAMI, February 28, 2023 (Newswire.com) - Bank of America and StartUP FIU Local are launching a Small Business Kick-off event to support and cultivate a more resilient small business community through education and a network of tangible resources. The event will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in FIU's GC Ballroom. The Kick-off serves as a summit for entrepreneurs to advance their reach, resources, and network via relevant and useful content delivered through panels, activities, and demonstrations. StartUP FIU Local and Bank of America strive to host a variety of start-ups, non-profit, established, and international businesses in all phases of the business stages representing various industries.
The Kick-off is designed to help entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, and aspiring entrepreneurs:
- Maximize and assess existing assets
- Discover resources to amplify growth potential
- Explore opportunities throughout Miami-Dade County and beyond
- Connect with industry colleagues and peers across multiple disciplines
Local small businesses have been invited to be vendors during the event, giving attendees the opportunity to #shoplocal and learn about entrepreneurs across different industries and support their products and services.
Arrive and enjoy an exciting culinary showcase from two amazing StartUP FIU Local entrepreneurs: Chef Ivo d'Aguiar, Executive Chef and Owner of YALL FOODS, and Chef Jodhan Mourra, Executive Chef and Owner of Cabana by Chef Jodhan. Throughout the Kick-off, attendees can attend panels including a Digital Equity Panel sponsored by Verizon, Investment and Financial Opportunities Panel sponsored by Miami-Dade County, and a Government & Corporate Contracting Panel.
Attendees can also participate in Small Biz Speed Dating: an activity to connect with other entrepreneurs in their industry with a fun, fast-paced event that helps them expand their professional network.
The Kick-off will culminate with Keynote Speaker Shalaya Morissette, Chief, Minority Business and Workforce Division, Office of Economic Impact and Diversity · U.S. Department of Energy.
