Singapore is gearing up for a tripling of air passenger volumes in 2022, as vaccinated travellers return at levels close to pre-pandemic. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has forecast a recovery for the country’s aviation sector, and is making plans to handle an increase in air passenger volume to 50% of pre-COVID-19 levels. To ensure a safe and smooth experience for travellers at Changi Airport, Singapore will optimise the use of airport terminals, ramp up operations and manpower. Immigration checks and testing protocols will also be simplified.
